Schools
Credits towards SMG designations are possible in two different ways:
- Certificates from schools recognized by the SMG (see list below) from which credit hours will be determined based on actual class lecture hours – similar to the format used by organizations to determine CE/PDAs – not on individual student hours spent. However, classes must be related to Daoist stone medicine.*
- Certificates and PDA points/CE credits granted by a licensed healthcare professional organization such as the NCCAOM (for acupuncturists) or other professional organizations (such as those for licensed massage therapists, nurses, etc.). However, classes must be related to Daoist stone medicine.*
Partial Credit
Occasionally only partial credits or CE/PDAs from a class may be given if only a portion of the class was related to Daoist stone medicine. This will be determined either by the SMG or the school.
Also be aware that credits for classes taken before 1/1/23, that were taken more than once, will only have the hours counted once.
After 1/1/23 classes taken a second time that have significant new material MAY be given partial credit, as long as the SMG and the school offering classes have determined to do so.
Contact us if you have any questions about whether you may get additional hours or not for classes taken more than once.
